DYLAN COOK
Dylan was working in a local youth shelter when he started his apprenticeship with a local blacksmith in his hometown of Prescott, Arizona. Dylan began teaching the blacksmith craft to high school students in 2010. Focused on the legacy of the trade, Dylan has had the pleasure of teaching at the Orme School of Arizona, Pieh Tool Company in Camp Verde, AZ, Desert Metal Craft in Tucson ,AZ and he is currently a Blacksmith Instructor at Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona. He is recognized by the Artist Blacksmith Association of North America (ABANA) as an National Curriculum Instructor. Through the years, all ages and skill sets have come through his programs. Creating a safe, and fun classroom environment allows easy retention of information to facilitate participants on their blacksmithing journey.
MISSION
Prescott Blacksmith School is dedicated to preserving the art and craft of blacksmithing while fostering a community of artisans. The school reflects the strength, tradition, and craftsmanship inherent in blacksmithing, with a modern touch that appeals to a diverse audience.
